Apple Ford Lincoln Proud To Sponsor "Party in the Pit" Fundraiser on October 14th!

Apple Ford Lincoln is proud to support, sponsor, and present Party in the Pit, a fundraiser to support Main Street Ellicott City on October 14th at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Main Street Ellicott City was devastated by flash flooding that took place on July 30th and faces a long term rebuilt. It is estimated that the damage to property and infrastructure alone will cost as much as $25 million.

Apple Ford Lincoln has deep roots in this community and it is our honor to sponsor this important event. Not only will Party in the Pit make for a fun evening out, but it will raise thousands of dollars for the Ellicott City Partnership, the non-profit organization tasked with overseeing the redevelopment of Main Street.

Party in the Pit features live music from the Charm City Devils, Nine Days, 1 Nite Stand, and the Doug Segree Band. Renown local artist Damon Foreman will provide entertainment at the VIP reception.

We encourage residents from the greater Baltimore area to buy a ticket and attend this important event. Tickets are only $25. VIP and Sponsorship packages are available.

But you have to hurry. With great acts like this and a community coming together around this great cause, tickets will sell out FAST. Act now before it is too late.

Apple Auto To Open April 1 in Elkton, Maryland

This article was published in the Cecil Whig on March 23rd, 2016 and can be found here.

By Cheryl Mattix

I recently stopped at the former Ramsey Ford dealership, which is now displaying the Apple Auto sign, to find out what’s going on.

I discovered it’s a tale of what’s old is new again.

George L. Doetsch Jr., of Columbia, has owned the land and the building since 1978, when he purchased it from Warren Boulden. Doetsch operated it as Tristate Ford from 1978 to 1982, when he sold the business but not the real estate.

In the 34 years since, the business has changed several times from Tristate Ford toQuality Ford to Advantage Ford andRamsey Ford.

When Ramsey Ford made the decision to move across the highway and build a state-of-the-art facility, the doors opened for Doetsch to return to Elkton as a car dealer.

“I love Cecil County,” Doetsch said during an interview Friday.

“It’s a good piece of real estate in Elkton,” he said of his property on Route 40. “I’m really excited about getting back up there.”

Doetsch has remained friends with H. Norman Wilson, a longtime practicing attorney in Elkton, since they met at the University of Maryland, along with a handful of other old friends from Cecil County.

Apple Ford Elkton will focus on sales of previously owned cars and trucks – not new vehicles. It will also provide repair service, and Doetsch is currently in the process of getting…

Apple Ford Lincoln to Sponsor Community Foundation of Howard County's 2015 Annual Dinner

Apple Ford Lincoln is pleased to sponsor the Community Foundation of Howard County's 2015 Annual Dinner on Thursday, November 12th at Turf Valley.

This year's theme is a "Celebration of Philanthropy" and will feature the honoring of one of the most important people in our community - Mrs. Vivian "Millie" Bailey.

Mrs. Bailey will be presented with the 2015 Individual Philanthropist of the Year Award for her countless efforts over the years both in and out of the Howard County Public School system, where Mrs. Bailey, even at 97, continues to volunteer her time with students at Running Brook Elementary School.

Mrs. Bailey has long been known as a leader, community activist, and advocate for education issues.

Most recently, Mrs. Bailey was invited to meet both President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in the Oval Office. President Obama was not the first president Mrs. Bailey had turns out Mrs. Bailey was previously recognized for her efforts by President Bill Clinton.

The event should be a lot of fun. For tickets, click here.
